Job Description

We are currently hiring for  Software / Senior Software Engineer (Python) requirement in VERITAS Technologies, Pune.  

Job Location: Pune (Baner)

What you will be doing: 

 

You will be a member of NetBackup Cloud Solutions Product Engineering team delivering on the strategic road-map of an enterprise scale Cloud Solutions product. The team imbibes Agile Values and Principles. You will work with cross functional teams within engineering, product management, customer and usability groups. As member of technical staff, you'll have the opportunity to grow as a software engineer in a culture of technical excellence, high team performance and strong work ethics. 

 

Your work would be focused around: 

 

    Design and develop the data protection solution for Cloud environments with a focus on AWS, Azure and Google Cloud Platform. 

    Design and develop the data protection solution for workloads in Cloud like Oracle, SQL Server, MongoDB etc. 

 

What skills, experience and education you need as a team member to succeed: 

 

  •     Requires a BE/B. Tech degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or similar 
  •     4 to 12 years of software development experience in an individual contributor role 
  •     Experience on working with Python, AMQP, NoSQL databases, Docker/Containers,   Microservices architecture 
  •     Experience on C++ on both Windows and Linux would be preferred 
  •     Demonstrable design skills and use of object-oriented concepts in solving complex problems 
  •     Experience in working in Agile scrum teams 
  •     Experience in Backup domain specifically for databases like Oracle, SQL Server and MongoDB 
  •     Knowledge of Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP, S3) and Cloud native workloads like RDS 
  •     Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
