This position is for the Data Management Software Division’s PowerPortect Data Manager product and needs skills and experience of delivering solutions with high standards for the quality. PowerProtect Data Manager is a next generation backup and recovery product and we are building reporting service for it. This improves recovery confidence and manages service levels with powerful data protection management capabilities. With reporting service, customers can unify and automate monitoring, analysis and reporting across backup and recovery environments while reducing complexity, lowering costs, and eliminating manual efforts.

• Collaborates well with other engineers and other engineering groups, voluntarily shares information.
• Offers proposed design changes/suggestions to processes and products, exerts significant latitude in determining objectives of an assignment.
• Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives, without appreciable direction.
• Understands and adheres to cost/delivery/quality targets established during the program design phase.
• Works effectively with cross-functional and/or global teams, readily shares information with others.

Experience

• 5-8 Years of Enterprise Class Project.

Required Competencies

• Experience with requirements clarification and capturing, work planning, documenting solution design, development tasks decomposition and tracking.
• Experience designing and implementing complex, scalable enterprise grade systems
• Experience in programming with Java.
• Experience in Windows, Linux & Unix operating systems.
• Experience in storage API and storage subsystems
• Experience in Spring or REST MVC frameworks.
• Strong Java EE and/or Golang skills and knowledge of respective technologies.
• Knowledge of relational database concepts like PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of version control, bug tracking systems (Git, JIRA).
• Knowledge of Linux/Windows.
• Practical experience of implementing design patterns is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills.

Desired Competencies

• Knowledge of scrum methodology.
• Experience in web UI development - HTML5 etc.
• Experience in work with JBoss Server.
• Knowledge of any or more Virtualization platform like VMWare is a plus.
