Position Responsibilities:
This Senior AWS Developer position within the Business Intelligence group will be responsible for developing, configuring, coding, testing, and debugging new software solutions. This role will serve as a key technical resource in the development and delivery of data-oriented solutions to support critical business needs.
This individual must be highly technical, with a good understanding of data management tools and must be able to document, build, and deploy the best technical solution within business timelines.
Sound knowledge of various AWS Services and SQL
Exposure to Snowflake architecture
Good understanding and experience of various AWS service like S3, lambda, SNS, Cloud watch and other AWS services
Good working knowledge on AWS DMS
Should have 2+ years of experience on AWS Glue, AWS DMS Replication, Snowflake data ingestion using Snow pipes
Should have 5-6 years of experience on SQL and Data warehouse concepts
Hands on experience on snowflake and AWS i.e. Data ingestion pattern, Query tuning
Develop & deploy big data pipelines in a cloud environment using Snowflake cloud DW
ETL design, development and migration of existing on-prem ETL routines to Cloud Service; Hands on developer in the field of data warehousing, ETL
Interact with senior leaders, understand their business goals, contribute to the delivery of the workstreams
Design and optimize model codes for faster execution Skills and attributes for success
Experience in Snowflake modelling - roles, schema, databases
Experience in Integrating with third-party tools, ETL, DBT tools
Experience in Snowflake advanced concepts like setting up resource monitors and performance tuning would be preferable
Develop data pipelines to perform batch and Real - Time/Stream analytics on structured and unstructured data
Deep understanding of AWS S3, Lambda, EMR, Glue and other related services.
Data processing patterns, distributed computing and in building applications for real-time and batch analytics
Handling large data sets and perform data wrangling, analysis, etc., using various SQL & NoSQL database technologies
Have knowledge and skills in DevOps and containerization. Preferable having deployment knowledge
Skills and Qualification:
Exceptional AWS background with data transformation and operational experience
Experience with AWS tools and infrastructure. Particularly in regard to s3 storage and data pipelines
Strong SQL Proficiency with Snowflake including analytic queries and other complex use cases.
Experience with SQL Query Tuning, data investigation, and optimization
Experience modelling star schemas and other summary objects based on business requirements Experience building large data stores, modern data warehouse, or advanced data processing solutions
Understanding of Oracle, SQL Server and other database systems
Understanding of modern data warehouse architectures such as data vault
Very good communication skills to ensure transfer of knowledge and best practices to Integration developers and QA team
Bachelors degree in IT, Computer science, or related field
