Job Description

 

he Talent should be able to manage the interchange of data between the server and the users. Your primary focus will be the development of all server-side logic, definition, and maintenance of the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. You will also be responsible for integrating the front-end elements built by your co-workers into the application. Therefore, a basic understanding of front-end technologies is necessary as well.

Job Description

  • Design, build and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Ruby code
  • Familiarity with the concepts of MVC frameworks, ORM, and REST API for data transfer
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming.
  • Better practice in developing a website from scratch using Rails and various gems- Devise, Active Admin, Pry, Carrier-wave, CanCan, Capistrano
  • Should be aware of caching and handling memory leaks
  • Integrate with third-party APIs including email providers, payment processors, and social media.
  • Strong understanding of server-side templating languages such as Liquid, Slim, etc
  • Good understanding of server-side CSS preprocessors such as Sass
  • Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
  • Collaborate with the front-end team to build innovative and responsive website design.
  • Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
  • Healthy knowledge in database management (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc)
  • Sufficient knowledge in deployment tools and code versioning tool like Git and expertise in Jira.
