Job Description

 

The Role

Linedata provides critical financial software to well-known, global banking and asset management institutions. The consulting team is responsible for onboarding and upgrading all Linedata clients across the full suite of Analytics products.

As a member of the Operations team, in this highly visible, client facing role, the Project Manager is responsible for managing both the implementation and version upgrades of Linedatas financial software suite. The ideal candidate will have exceptional relationship management skills and be able to quickly adjust to change in a fast-paced environment. This individual will identify, develop and execute strategies and supporting tactics to engage and influence all stakeholders to assure adoption and sustainment of changes to the client.

The Project Manager is the primary point of contact for the project and manages all project activities including, but not limited to, project kickoff meetings, recurring status meetings, executive sponsor meetings, budget reporting, and risk tracking. The Project Manager will work to manage Linedata resources to deliver on client project deliverables and coordinate project communication for all internal and external stakeholders. The Project Manager serves as a pro-active problem solver and contributes to the identification, documentation, resolution and escalation of risks and issues.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities

1. Manages end-to-end planning, execution, controls, and closure of a project

2. Following the PMI Project Management methodology, the candidate will utilize standard Linedata PMO artifacts to verify scope, schedules, budget, and the monitoring & control plans

3. Ensures business objectives and project benefits are identifiable, measurable, and realized

4. Monitors and tracks project progress, and leads project team to successful on-time and on-budget delivery of the project

5. Collaborates with clients and internal stakeholders to manage expectations and mitigate risk

6. Quickly build credibility and relationships in a highly matrixed environment

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s Degree required

2. At least 3 years of experience as a Project Manager, preferably within the Financial Services/Software industries

3. Self-starter with the ability to work independently under light supervision

4. Keen sense of issue prioritization and strength to make intelligent decisions on their own

5. Confidence to have candid discussions with individuals at all levels both internally and with the Client

6. Knowledge and experience with standard PMI Project Management Methodology

7. Excellent organization, communication and presentation skills

8. Experience with MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel and SharePoint required

9. Some Fund Accounting business knowledge or similar experience preferred

10. Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle methodology and interest in Financial Technology

11. Experience writing procedures, business requirements and performing business analysis tasks preferred
