Roles and Responsibilities
Position Summary
The CXT Martech Team has responsibility including leading Marketing Data Platform & Marketing applications; with the objectives including marketing operational data store (CDP), microservices, Adobe Campaign Management, Channel Execution and various other marketing technologies activities.
The Marketing Technology Engineer will develop (code/program), test, debug - Data Pipelines (Extract/Transform/Load) to answer technically challenging business requirements (complex transformations, high data volume) as it relates to Marketing Data Platform.

Core Responsibilities
- Work on analyzing, understanding, challenging and documenting requirements towards the Customer Data Platform (CDP) within Marketing Technologies group.
- Translate requirements into technical- and analytical designs and ensure implementation and testing of the proposed solutions leveraging state-of-the-art cloud technologies for data engineering and data science.
- Collaborate with data engineers and data scientists across the teams to establish best-practices, exchange on latest trends, and stay abreast of your area of responsibility
- Work together with the management team to continuously refine and develop marketing audience analytics capabilities and audience strategies
- Reviews literature, current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects in marketing technologies areas.
- Experience with DevOps tools (GitHub, Jira / Rally) and methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Test Driven Development)
- Hands on experience in building large scale microservices
- Hands on experience with Big Data ecosystem tools like Spark, YARN, HDFS, Hive, Sqoop, understanding of systems performance data (collection, monitoring, analysis)
- Experience with various Data warehousing tools
- Exposure to data integration and storage in AWS - S3, Lambda, Glue Crawlers, Data Pipelines
- Exposure to data loads in Databricks
- Programs new software using Spark, Scala, Kafka, Sqoop, SQL,
- Deep knowledge of SQL and data sourcing technologies.
- In-depth hands on experience in ETL design and development
- Create and execute capacity planning strategy process for the Data platforms
- Edits and reviews technical requirements documentation
- Displays knowledge of software engineering methodologies, concepts, skills and their application in the area of specified engineering specialty
- Displays knowledge of, and ability to apply, process software design and redesign skills
- Displays in-depth knowledge of, and ability to apply, project management skills
- Works independently, assumes responsibility for job development and training, researches and resolves questions and problems, requests supervisor input and keeps supervisor informed required
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary

6-9 years of experience working in developing large scale operational data store preferably with marketing focus.
