We are looking for a software development engineer to join the back-end development team for our growing retail tech and parking platform. You will be working on developing a new product for the physical retail and parking industry with the objective of making a customer digital experience in these environments more enriching. The project is backed by the largest retail and parking company in India

You will be the working on the development of new software products and enhancements to existing products. This role will involve working with cross functional teams and offer significant opportunities to grow.

Key skills and capabilities

• Prior retail tech industry experience preferred but not essential
• Expertise in Object Oriented Design, Database Design, and XML Schema
• Expertise in Java/MySql framework
• Exposure and understanding of HTML/React/CSS/PHP/Laravel/Drupal would be desired but not essential
• Strong project management skills
• Self-starter and ability to work under pressure

Responsibilities

• Writing clean, high-quality, high-performance, maintainable code
• Develop and support software including applications, database integration, interfaces, and new functionality enhancements
• Coordinate cross-functionally to ensure project meets business objectives and compliance standards
• Support test and deployment of new products and features
• Participate in code reviews

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related field)
• 2+ years of relevant work experience
• Experience with Agile or Scrum software development methodologies
• Prior experience of retail/prop tech preferred but not essential
