UX Designer

What we’re looking for:

UX Designer to handle UX work on several projects for at least 3 months (Potential for Permanent Hire). Seeking mid-level UX Design experience with skills in these areas:

• Problem-framing.
• Prototyping, wireframing, and page-level interaction design.
• Collaborating with and persuading stakeholders (seeking strong communication skills).
• Visual design skills are necessary; however, candidate will also utilize a design system and work with visual designers to support projects.
• Strong IA skills are a plus, as is prior experience in the health insurance or general insurance industry

The right candidate will have a knack for solving complex problems, simply. We are seeking a customer service driven, passionate information architects and UX/UI designers to help build custom software solutions for our customers. Candidates should answer ‘yes’ to all the following:

• Hybrid problem solver fluent in all aspects of sketching user experiences
• Conducts user research and analysis; translates analysis into insights and ideas
• Storyboards experiences in context using information and user interactions
• Designs visual experiences that enable users
• Enjoys consulting across a wide domain of clients and implementing cutting edge technology
• Participates in local and regional meetups and events

A user experience / design background is a must for this role.

What we’d like to see from you:

Responsibilities and skills will include the following:

• Assist with UX / visual design through workshops, user scenarios, information architecture, wireframes, and high-fidelity design
• Conduct usability testing sessions both quantitative & qualitative
• Storytelling to connect the dots of user needs/flows, concepts, design principles and experience details, both within the team and outside.
• Collaborate in cross-disciplinary teams to conceive and produce new experiences, products and services
• Rapid iteration and prototyping to demonstrate interactive experiences across mediums, at times working closely with Architects and Engineers to realize a vision
• Design experiences for emerging technologies and improve research + design processes to maximize creative potential
• Background should include tool usage of:
• UI Design: Sketch, XD (InVision a plus)
• Wireframing: Axure, Balsamiq
• Front-end development skills a plus (HTML5, CSS, jQuery, etc.)
• Prior consulting experience (working with multiple clients) a plus.
• Excellent communication technique needed for client interfacing and presentation
• Strong organization and time management skills
• Ability to work well in stressful situations and multitask while in fast-paced environment
