Apex's client based in Dallas is looking for a 100% remote UX Designer. We are looking for someone who lives in either EST or CT and is able to work CT hours. The right candidate will have at least 5 years of professional experience in design. You MUST have portfolio to be considered for this position. This is a long term contract with a huge telecommunications company. While on contract you are contract you are eligible for benefits and free technical training via Apex Systems.

Role: UX Designer
This UX Designer creates satisfying or compelling experiences for end user personas, often drawing on results from user research and workflow analysis. Generally, UX designers need to possess strong creative, technical and problem-solving skills. The UX design role will involve psychology, storytelling and computer science as well. Areas of focus will include content, controls, visual design and development, information architecture, user research, branding and customer/technical support.
Responsibilities include:
UX designers must have a solid understanding of graphic design and web technologies, and of wireframing tools such as Axure RP and Balsamiq. A good grasp of design programs and tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks and InVision is also necessary. They frequently work with user interface designers, web developers and graphic designers.
