Description:
Under general direction, develops Web based applications, including online customer service, to enable agency components to deliver their services online. Provides support for the implementation of interfaces to Web-based applications. Typically performs all functional duties independently.
Primary Skills/Experience
"• Strong knowledge of/experience with one or more of the following:
•• UI/UX Design;
•• Responsive Web Design;
•• Rapid Application Development (RAD);
•• Java/JEE/Eclipse;
•• Oracle and/or SQL Server databases;
•• SQL, PL/SQL, SQL Developer;
•• Javascript/HTML/CSS/AJAX;
•• UNIX/Linux;
•• XML/JSON;
•• SOAP/RESTful Web Services;
•• WebSphere, TomCat, and/or WildFly application servers;
•• Containers;
•• DevSecOps;
•• Solutions Development Framework (Docker, Jenkins, Gitlab, Subversion); and
•• Secure Coding Practices such as Encryption of Data In Motion/At Rest and input Validation.
Additional Skills/Experience
"• A minimum of five (5) years experience in software development or related field;
• A degree from an accredited College/University in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline is preferred;
• Able to perform all functional duties independently;
• Experience training/mentoring less experienced personnel;
• Ability to prepare cost estimates;
• Working knowledge of/experience with Agile methodologies and SDLC practices;
• Knowledge of/experience with the following:
•• VersionOne;
•• ServiceNow;
•• Application Lifecycle Management (ALM);
•• Test automation using UFT and/or Selenium;
•• Capacity Planning;
•• Project Management/Project Planning;
•• MS Office Suite.
• Excellent communication skills; and
• Able to obtain Postal clearance.
