Work you'll do/Responsibilities
Software Architect will focus on the construction and maintenance of a functional area of a large custom application currently hosted in a hybrid environment but needing to be replatformed to a cloud-native environment.
•Responsible for coding and unit testing the application which meets the business needs for that functional area.
•Support for both the current hybrid implementation and the evolution to a future could native environment are required.
•Collaborate and implement most relevant development tools/techniques to solve client issues and exceed client requirements
•Plan and work with development teams to deliver solutions in accordance to service level agreements
•Manage and maintain project goals established for project deliverables
•Develop solutions to client problems via use of methodologies and software application tools

The Team
Our Systems Engineering team delivers large-scale software applications and integrated systems, and assists clients with architecture design, assessment and optimization, and definition. We develop service-oriented architecture (SOA) and other integration solutions to enable information sharing and management between business partners and disparate processes and systems, and we deliver technology enablement to support CIO services transformation.

Systems Engineering professionals focus on key client issues that impact the core business by maximizing operational value, driving down the cost of quality, and enhancing technology innovation. Our teams deliver a wide range of services, including application architecture design and optimization, application modernization, business process management and solution integration, custom application design and development, and large-scale technology delivery program efforts.

Qualifications


Required
•Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience
•Demonstrate strong communication skills to translate technical software solutions to non-technical clients
•10years of IT experience in software development in developing web applications and client/server applications
•Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and DevOps methodologies is required
•Experience with AWS and other hosting options needed.
•Knowledge of the design and use of a microservice architecture is required. Demonstrated experience managing a team needed.
•Other required skills not available in DMA: Spring Batch, Application design and construction
•Ability to lead and mentor teams to provide technical deliverables in accordance with SDLC methodologies such as SCRUM and Agile
•Plan, track, manage and lead small teams on short term sprints, and long term software deployments
•Proven years of Java Enterprise Edition (Java EE / J2EE), Apache Kafka, Java Spring Framework, Bootstrap, Java, Jboss development experience
•EJB, Hibernate, HTML, JS, CSS, and SOAP Web Services, Angular, Ajax, JQuery
•Ability to lead teams to provide high performance code reviews and troubleshoot all software development issues
•Ability to multi-task and support development teams to ensure timely software development deliverables
•Legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
•Must live or relocate to the greater Mechanicsburg, PA area
•Must be able to travel up to 20% (while 20% of travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice).

Preferred Requirements
•Centers for Medicare/Medicaid systems experience
•Health and Human services industry experience
