Fortellis is growing and expanding. We are looking for passionate Softyware Engineer 4 who will be part of the industry changing efforts. This is a hands-on, results oriented position with innovation and execution mindset. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and working with UX, Devops & other development teams on a day-to-day basis to create, facilitate and execute building the Fortellis platform.

This position is based on or San Jose, CA or Austin, TX.

Responsibilities

• Design, Build new RESTful APIs with Node.js
• Design, Build API adapters, bridging modern and legacy web services
• Build SPA in JavaScript, React.js
• Create unit, integration, security and functional testing across all code that meets or exceeds company standards.
• Debug integration issues and deploy hotfix patches as needed
• Focus on automation and continuous delivery (TDD, CICD)
• Build production-quality enterprise grade software that achieves target SLAs for scalability, reliability, and performance on schedule.

Qualifications

• You have more than 8 years of experience in building modern platforms and applications.
• Expert level knowledge in Node.js and RESTful API design
• Expert level knowledge in JavaScript
• Advanced level knowledge in React.js
• Expert JavaScript Fundamentals + ES6
• Experience with JEST or other Java Script test framework
• Experience with AWS API Gateway, AWS Lambda, AWS DynamoDB, AWS RDS
• Experience with modern web service architecture
• Good understanding of Swagger (OpenAPI) REST API specification standards
• Experience with Git, Atlassian stack
• Experience in automated unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing frameworks
