A Day In The Life Of A Software Developer - REQ13814

Do you have a passion for increasing automation and utilizing new technology to modernize and create new services?

We are looking for a Software Developer with at least 2-3 years of prior experience to support our Total Loss/Salvage/Vehicle Products team. This team will have the opportunity to design solutions, code, test and deliver them to production where they will provide benefit to our customers.

This team also focus on creating and delivering solutions in small, consumable chunks, while using agile principles in a product team environment.

Office Location (Bloomington, IL)...where we work hard AND play hard!



We Are Looking for Candidates With

• Thorough understanding and experience with automated test structures using BDD frameworks (Serenity, Cucumber, and Karate)
• Ability to develop a continuous integration/continuous delivery pipeline (GitLab, Jenkins, Groovy, and UrbanCode)
• Experience with AWS, Salesforce or Cloud Foundry
• Ability to develop applications that provide or consume web services (REST and SOAP)
• Experience utilizing coding languages such as Java (Spring), JavaScript, Python, Salesforce Lightening
• Database knowledge of DB2, Postgres, SQL, or other relational databases
• Proven ability to gather and analyze business and system requirements to create effective digital communication solutions
• Experience with agile development practices

Incumbency: This position will have a 12-month incumbency period, beginning on the effective date of the position, which must be met before the employee can post for any other lateral State Farm position.
