We have a contract to hire, or direct hire position open for a Software Developer for Applications JavaScript, ASP.Net.

Software Developer - Applications Job Responsibilities:

Under general supervision, the Software Developer (Microsoft .NET) designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs new and existing software systems and/or applications for proprietary software for internal use and some external use.

• Use Microsoft .NET Framework and Visual C#

• Participate in full development life cycle including requirements analysis and design

• Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements

• Support, maintain, and document software functionality

• Identify and evaluate new technologies for implementation

• Analyze third party API and other entry points to determine technical requirements

• Analyze code to find causes of errors and revise programs as needed

• Participate in software design meetings and analyze user needs to determine technical requirements

Software Developer - Applications Qualifications / Skills:

• Ability to work independently and quickly while learning in a fast paced environment

• Excellent knowledge of ASP.NET, C#, Web Development, and Web Services

• Experience in database-driven application development, and ability to work with both MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server databases.

• Excellent knowledge of stored procedures on Microsoft SQL

• Experience with RESTful interfaces

• Experience developing JSON and XML based WCF

RESTful Web services

• Strong design and programming skills

• Accustomed to working with version control

• Ability to work as a self starter under limited supervision

• Must be capable of performing in a dynamic environment, handling multiple tasks simultaneously with the ability to work on multiple projects at any time

• Excellent written and communication skills

• An understanding of Responsive Design concepts

• Full understanding of the software development life cycle and direct experience working through an entire software cycle

• Translating business requirements into technical requirements and designs

• Supporting the Production IT team when application-related issues arise

• Excellent communication skills both written and oral

• Willingness to employ creative thinking to solve problems

• Familiarity with JIRA/Confluence, Subversion & Sharepoint

• Willingness to learn ASL and the deaf culture

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent Industry experience required

• 8+ years as a professional SW Developer
