Job Description

Role: Snowflake support/admin

Location: Los Angeles, CA

Long Term Contract

Job Description:

    • 3+ years of Snowflake support/admin experience
    • Effective Communication, Client Focus, Execution Excellence, Build Collaboration
    • Requirements Management, Estimation & Resource Planning, Solution Structuring, Knowledge Management, Technology Trends, System Management, Project Management
    • Snowflake Production Incident analysis & raising Snowflake support ticket - coordination with Snowflake Computing and Project Teams
    • Complete Environment setup with new set of database, schema, tables & warehouses as per project needs. Integration with active directory
    • Cloning of lower environments from higher environments - e.g. PROD to QA and DEV
    • Warehouse Load Monitoring and tuning (resizing and parameter settings perspective)
    • Performance analysis for huge running processes and tune accordingly
    • Usage Monitoring from Compute, Storage and Data Transfer perspective
    • Disaster Recovery Strategy and setup through Data Replication /partner with Infra teams
    • Virtual Warehouse Size estimation based on process loads specifically with varying compute needs
    • setting up a Snowflake Object cataloging process to identify application and business unit level usage/cost and maintaining the same
    • Process design and development for BU and Application wise Compute & Storage usage reports
    • Application wise Storage and Query processing growth analysis
    • Application wise User - Access analysis
    • Setup and managing Roles to maintain warehouse security
    • Cross Region Replication and Disaster Recovery
    • Setup automated alerts (WAREHOUSE_ALTER_BY_USER_ALERT_QUERY, SNOWFLAKE_WH_EXCEED_AVG_ALERT_QUERY, LONG_RUNNING_QUERY_ALERT )
