Senior UX Designer

Primary Location Oak Brook, IL

V-Soft Consulting is currently seeking a Senior UX Designer for our premier client in Oak Brook, IL. This is a full-time, direct hire position in the manufacturing industry.

The Senior Designer 1, UX is responsible for applying strong knowledge of user centered design principles and practices to deliver UX Visions, Concepts and Specifications for production apps and next gen innovation. This role will be heavily involved in user research, UX visioning for concept generation, prototyping and testing, and concept presentation in support of software development projects.

WHAT YOU LL NEED:

Education and Experience

• Bachelor s degree in Industrial Design or UX Design
• Minimum of 5 years of experience
• Experience with UX strategy and design for iOS, Android, responsive web
• Experience delivering journey maps, information architecture, taxonomy and navigation patterns
• Experience with grids and layouts, screen hierarchy and wireframing, interactive prototyping and testing
• Strong visual design skills including typography, color and graphics
• Experience working with multiple scrum teams using Slack, JIRA and Confluence.

WHAT YOU LL DO:

Job Responsibilities

• Work with product managers and design research team to develop UX Research brief. Participate in design research sessions. Coordinate and guide junior design staff on field trips. Engage target users and ensure successful research outcomes. Develop and communicate actionable insights to Product Teams with tools like journey maps, task flow diagrams, storyboards, etc.
• Work with Product Managers to develop, features, epics and stories aligned to release and sprint cycles.
• Lead and participate in design sprints, concept brainstorms to deliver UX architecture
• Demonstrate knowledge of color, typography, graphics and motiongraphics.
• Design and maintain UI style guides. Build and test prototypes to validate advanced user experiences driven by emerging technology.
• Demonstrate exceptional 2D representation skills, Low and Hi-Fidelity Prototyping skills, and communication skills.
• Protect our client s reputation by keeping information confidential.
• Contribute positively to maintain a workplace culture that is consistent with our client s mission, vision, and values.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
• Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed.
