A client of ours in Broad Ripple is currently looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer with a diverse skill set to join their efforts. As a part of an enthusiastic and deeply passionate team, you will play a pivotal role as the Senior Software Engineer in developing new platforms and maintaining existing systems. A full-time role, this Senior Software Engineer opportunity will be based in the Indianapolis, Indiana area and will work remotely today, but go back into the office sometime next year.

What you do as the Senior Software Engineer:

- Design and implement back end and front end components and services

- Supplement solutions which account for scalability and optimize performance

- Develop high quality production-ready code in an agile environment

- Uphold top programming practices and standards

- Gauge new technologies and create prototypes for constant improvements

- Collaborate closely with the product team to build new features and designs

Requirements

What you bring to the role:

- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related field is highly preferred

- 5+ years software engineering experience in C#, Java, PHP, Python, or Ruby with foundational knowledge of C/C++

- 5+ years experience working with relationational databases like SQL or Oracle

- 2+ years of experience working with NoSQL or key value stores like MongoD, Redis, or ElasticSearch

- Experience building scalable software solutions

- Experience crafting, documenting and testing APIs

- Strong familiarity with the planning, launching, and refactoring phases of code

- Wide ranging experience with Big Data

- Previous experience working with CMS Platform is preferred
