Senior Software Developer (.Net & Azure)

Direct Hire/Full Time/Permanent

As a Senior Software Developer Analyst, you will develop internal business applications through integration of third party vendor software.

Looking for developer to develop new application using .Net and Web Forms technology with SQL Server as the back end database.

Candidate should also be familiar with SOAP Web Services development.

Experience with .Net Core, REST APIs, JavaScript development technologies are desirable.

Azure experience - looking for things related to streaming, data engineering, events, batch processing, and api's

What You Will Be Doing

• Consistently write, translate and code software programs and applications according to specifications. In addition to facilitating and participating in code reviews you will assist in all areas of the typical application lifecycle, from the preparation and documentation of program requirements and specifications, development, testing and deployment.

• Conduct research on and recommend emerging application development software products, tools, languages and standards in support of procurement and development efforts.

• Recommend, schedule, perform and coordinate software improvements and upgrades.

• Manage and monitor software performance tests (including Unit, System, Integration, Performance, and ad-hoc trouble-shooting) on new and existing programs for the purposes of correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement and general debugging.

• Administer critical analysis of test results and delivering solutions to problem areas, and provide feedback to analysis/training staff about performance considerations/usability issues concerning software specifications and implementations.

• Seek training and development activities related to the industry.

What Do You Need for this Position?

Required

• Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B.S.) from four-year College or university in the field of computer science or software engineering;

• Five plus years equivalent work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

• A minimum of five years software development experience

• Experience developing in Azure

• Experience developing Restful API's in the cloud

• Experience developing event based processing

• Experience developing real-time data integration/data engineering processes in the cloud using technologies like Functions, Spark Streaming, Streaming analytics, and EventHub or Kafka

• Experience developing batch data integration/data engineering processes in the cloud using technologies like Data Factory, Data Pipeline, or Stitch

• Experience developing against relational databases

• Experience developing against NoSQL databases

• Programming experience using C#

• Proven SQL development experience and understanding

• Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.

• Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Preferred

• Experience in the financial industry

• Experience with Apache spark
