Due to our continued growth, we are searching for a talented Security Engineer to join our team. The Security Engineer is part of a collaborative team of technology professionals and serves as the primary technical resource to help to safeguard organization's computer networks and systems. This role is responsible to plan and carry out security measures to monitor and protect sensitive data and systems from infiltration and cyber-attacks.

Essential Functions:

• Serves as a subject matter expert for information security, trends & best practices
• Develops security requirements in coordination with infrastructure and security teams
• Provides mentorship on security solutions, technical advice, and best practices
• Monitors and improves current information security systems, including security incident event management, system monitoring, access control, and other specific security controls
• Supports security certification activities, system hardening, vulnerability testing, and scanning
• Designs and improves information security operations
• Analyzes security incidents and data on reported vulnerabilities; develops monitoring and transparency capabilities; recommends remediation based on incident reports, vulnerabilities, and trends
• Responds to information system security incidents, including investigation of, countermeasures to, and recovery from computer-based attacks, unauthorized access, and policy breaches

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• 3+ years of experience in information technology for a mid-large size organization
• 3 or more years’ experience in a cloud based environment
• 3 or more years in information security.
• DevOps and DevSecOps experience
• Experience with native security controls in AWS, ====P, and/or Azure
• SOC/SIEM/MDR/Security Orchestration and Automation
• Proficiency in designing complex network with multiple layers of security
• Experience in identifying/resolving technical issues during implementation
• Is collaborative, voices opinions, is able to take ownership of workstream tasks without supervision, adapts to new environments and changing requirements
• Full understanding and application of ethics, independence and Schellman’s values

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or other field, or related field or equivalent years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
• Pursuing or have obtained certifications in: AWS, Google Cloud, CCSP, or CCSK.
