SAS-SQL Developers

Duration: 6 months with extension

Remediate 2MM+ queries for business-written queries/scripts against the data warehouse. Work will involve:

• Re-engineering entire business processes.
• SQL tuning since
• In addition to potentially redesigning the entire business process and optimizing the SQL, extensive performance testing will be performed.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years Application development and implementation experience
• 5+ years SQL & SAS coding
• Knowledge and navigate Linux and Unix OS to access SAS code and SQL packages
• Experience with SQL Server including, but not limited to, queries, views, stored procedures, indexes, functions, or triggers
• 5+ years of Teradata SQL Programming & Performance Tuning experience.
• Experience with databases such as SQL server and Teradata
• 6+ years Experience in application & data architecture and solution design
• Ability to work effectively in virtual environment where key team members and partners are in various time zones and locations

Desired Qualifications

• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• BS/BA degree or higher in science or technology
• Agile experience
• Experience with end-to-end design and delivery of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) applications
• Java experience
• Advanced problem solving and technical troubleshooting capabilities
• Ability to facilitate design sessions
• Ability to gather and document technical requirements
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to gather, analyze, and interpret large datasets
• Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills
