SALESFORCE SENIOR/PROGRAM TECHNICAL ARCHITECT – B2B COMMERCE CLOUD

The Salesforce B2B Commerce Technical Architect (TA) is critical to the shared success of our commerce cloud project teams and the broader Salesforce Practice. Working with top consultants, you will be able to contribute and participate in many activities including solution design, presales, delivery, team leadership and importantly ­ thought leadership.

Successful TAs not only have a depth and breadth of understanding Salesforce technologies but are also able to maximize the benefit by applying business value in context and communicating solutions and options to various levels within our client’s organizations. Responsibilities:

  • LMA: Lead, Manage, and hold Accountable direct reports and project team members
  • Drive requirements gathering sessions with the client’s technical team and discuss functional requirements with the internal and client teams
  • Evaluate multiple feasible options for a solution and present to the client, guiding them toward the most optimal solution
  • Ability to architect and successfully deliver B2B Commerce Storefront solutions from simple MVP approach to complex, multi-geo, multi-integration, enterprise-level implementations
  • Lead internal and client teams on Salesforce best practices
  • Oversee on- and off-shore developers on client projects and COE projects
  • Demonstrate thought leadership for POCs, Accelerators, new technology & solutions to drive our Go-to-Market and Offerings
  • Provide support for and participate in Pre-sales activities including RFP responses, presentations, architectural recommendations and reviews
  • Provide leadership and oversight for cross-skilling of Minds to B2B Commerce, ongoing development on the platform as needed
  • Responsible for the overall technical architecture and corresponding deliverables through a project’s lifecycle
  • Document and present technical requirements through various communication channels, including client interface
  • Provide thought leadership in technical areas of expertise to promote best of breed culture in Technical Services
  • Provide consultative services to all levels of business and technical people at leading enterprise customers to enable them to make confident decisions for their company
  • Guide the development team in the appropriate use of technology, best practices on the platform
  • Break agile stories into realistically achievable tasks and delegate work to the development team, as appropriate to their respective skills
  • Write clear, concise Acceptance Criteria and task-level details for onshore and offshore developers and follow-up on their progress
  • Work with clients to understand their requirements and design flexible, scalable solutions that serve their short- and long-term needs and utilize Salesforce best practices
  • Ability to generate and maintain technical documentation that covers functional use cases and the technical implementation to support the use cases
  • Execute regular code reviews and mentor development team on development best practices
  • Define unit testing standards and leverage existing Salesforce Apex unit testing standards
  • Conduct business and technical correspondence that is professional, thoughtful, effective, and concise
  • Ability to “think on your feet” and learn new things quickly
  • Appetite for ongoing knowledge in the Salesforce space and other relevant technologies
  • Experience in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), Manufacturing & Retail Industries preferred
  • Flexibility to travel to client locations when needed

Technical Expertise:

  • 2+ years of experience designing and building simple to complex Salesforce B2B Commerce (formerly known as CloudCraze) solutions. Awareness of and training on the new Lightning B2B Commerce platform preferred but not required.
  • 4+ years of experience designing and architecting Salesforce Sales, Service, Marketing Cloud, Communities solutions, CPQ, Mulesoft, and related technology
  • Proficiency in the following technical artifacts (for current and future states): Data Model / ERD, System Landscape, Integration Orchestration Design / Process Flows, Sequence Diagrams, etc
  • Strong understanding of and experience working in Agile/Scrum teams including use of JIRA
  • A strong understanding of Salesforce platform technologies as well as key integrations such as ERP, MDM, etc.
  • Experience in object-oriented design patterns and data modeling
  • Strong understanding of on-premise and cloud architectural design patterns
  • Foundational understanding of mobile application development and design principles

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Technology, Engineering or similar preferred
