Position: Python Developer

Job Overview:

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree (BS/BE) in Computer Science, Mathematics or related or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of hands-on experience software development using Python using modern frameworks and architectural best practices; Familiarity with JSON and XML formats is also important
• 2+ years of experience developing web applications and services covering middle tier and back-end, specifically developing RESTful web services/microservices for consumption using Python
• Some hands-on experience using a strongly typed language such as Java, C# or C++ is also required
• Experience creating and querying databases using SQL with exposure to NoSQL a valuable plus
• Consistent discipline in writing unit tests, logging events, strong exception handling and written documentation
• Comfort working in Linux environment and familiarity with DevOps tools including Jenkins and GIT, and Docker is a huge plus
• Exposure to cloud technologies with AWS, Azure or GCP a plus
• Working knowledge of secure coding techniques and network security basics is a plus
• Willingness to rapidly learn new technologies and apply them as needed

Technical Skills - Required/Must Have's:

• Strong Middle-tier & Back-end development experience (5+ years) and strong understanding of those ecosystems (Python and Web Services)
• Good understanding of Software Engineering languages such as Java, C# or C++ (5+ years)
• Python experience is a must at least 2 to 3 years
• RESTful Web Services development experience (3+ years)
• Must have a strong technical expertise with Python
• Should have solid comfort working w/LINUX environment
