Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a Software Engineer based out of Aurora, CO.

What You'll get to Do:

Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Ensures software standards are met.

Qualifications:

This requisition may be filled at either a Principal Software Engineer or Sr. Principal Software Engineer

Basic Qualifications:

• For a Principal Software Engineer -5 years with a Bachelor's in Science or other STEM related discipline; 3 years with a Master's; 0 years with a PhD.; 7 years with an Associate's; or 9 years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• For a Sr. Principal Software Engineer- 9 years with a Bachelor's in Science or other STEM related discipline; 7 years with a Master's; 0 years with a PhD.; 5 years with an Associate's; or 14 years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Active Top Secret (TS) security clearance
• Active Sensitive compartmented information (SCI) access
• Adjudicated Polygraph
• Demonstrated ability prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines
• Ability to relay and receive information
• Excellent liaison between local personnel and overseas workforce
• Full stack development experience using Java, JavaScript, Python/Django, C++, or CUDA
• Version control using git
• Experience working in a Linux environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Full Stack Java/Javascript development experience
• Experience with Agile development tools (Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, Rally)
• Experience with configuring, optimizing and programming database access.
• Security+CE Certification
