Associated Software Consultants, Inc. (ASC) is a developer and marketer of software solutions and services for the residential, consumer and commercial lending industries. Our PowerLender® Loan Origination System (LOS) automates the process of creating and processing mortgage, home equity, consumer and commercial loans for lenders.

PowerLender is a large Java Swing desktop application and is remotely hosted on SoftLayer (IBM) Linux servers administered by us. Clients access PowerLender using only an HTML5 browser. We have also developed a “lender portal” software application written in PHP that helps a wider audience of users gain access to specific data, reports and other limited functionality. The PHP portal software contains HTML and JavaScript as well.

ASC requires an individual with considerable PHP development experience to maintain and enhance PowerLender. Java development as well as SQL development and administration are important technical skills we desire. We would consider an entry-level applicant with very strong motivation and a solid technical aptitude and skill set. An understanding of the lending process is an extra plus.

ASC also requires a Java Programmer. PowerLender requires the use of (increasingly) JSON/REST APIs and (decreasingly) XML/SOAP APIs. We use both NetBeans and Eclipse IDEs, and a Subversion repository. Other skills include RDBMS (MSSQL, MariaDB) and JDBC programming. Very helpful technical skills include PHP programming, as ASC supports additional PHP applications. We want people with independent decision-making capability and proactive problem-solving skills. Prior Java programming experience is a very big plus but we would consider an entry-level applicant with strong motivation and a solid technical aptitude and skill set. An understanding of the lending process is an extra plus.
