Job Description

This position is 100% remote now, but will be required to come on site in Cambridge, MA at some point in 2021. Candidates who apply for this position MUST have been in the US for 3 of the last 5 years, and will have to pass a Public Trust Clearance.

Requirements

  • Work as part of a team developing applications and services using Agile development methods
  • Contribute to team and organizational improvements in process and infrastructure
  • Design and develop dynamically scalable, highly available, highly reliable and fault-tolerant applications using Node.JS
  • Code, test, debug, implement, and document efficient database driven web applications
  • Extensive AWS development experience
  • Develop unit test plans to satisfy functional and technical requirements
  • Prepare appropriate documentation such as program code, and technical documents
  • Assist the project manager in preparing estimates and justification for assigned tasks
  • Participate in software development processes with quality assurance, version control and build processes
  • Work with management to resolve issues and validate programming requirements within areas of responsibility

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; degree in computer science, mathematics or related field preferred
  • Must have a minimum of three years of Node.JS experience
  • Experience in developing dynamic interactive web application user interfaces using advanced JavaScript frameworks like AngularJS and JSON supported technologies
  • Demonstrated experience of design and implementation of micro-services architecture and RESTful web services
  • Familiarity with the whole web stack, including protocols and web server optimization techniques
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving aptitude
  • Attention to details

Other Qualifications (Nice to have)

  • Some experience of developing with Amazon Web Services (AWS Simple Queue, AWS simple, workflow, etc.) with appropriate SDKs will be nice to have
  • Experience of developing application with Amazon Lambda
  • Knowledge of cloud reference architectures and AWS best practices
  • Knowledge of and experience with Federal security regulations, standards, and processes including FISMA, FIPS, NIST, and FedRAMP is a plus
