Job Description

Junior Mobile-Web Developer

Purpose:

Software Application Developer to participate in the development and maintenance of both Web and Mobile apps running on top market platforms. The developer will work closely with the association members, IT management and the IT team during the entire product lifecycle, from concept to delivery and post launch support.

Duties:

  • Designs limited enhancements, updates, and programming changes for portions and subsystems of systems software, including front-end UI for mobile and web applications and portals, utilities, databases and Internet-related tools
  • Analyzes design and determines coding, programming, and integration activities required based on specific objectives and established project guidelines.
  • Create design deliverables such as specifications, process flows, wireframes and mock-ups
  • Executes and writes portions of testing plans, protocols, and documentation for assigned portion of application; identifies and debugs issues with code and suggests changes or improvements
  • Participates as a member of the internal project team and outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost effective and high quality solutions for assigned systems portion or subsystem
  • Collaborate closely with association members, staff and development team throughout the research, design process and usability tests

Expected Results and Measures:

Develops the mobile apps for the association utilizing modern technologies to enable and support our membership and staff

Specifications:

Education/Credentials/Certifications:

  • Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience

Experience:

  • Required hands-on working experience developing apps on multiple platforms, iOS & Android.
  • Experience in developing, deploying, and/or supporting an enterprise size solution
  • Minimum 2-4 years' experience

Specific Skills Required:

  • Develop mobile apps for IOS and Android platforms
  • Experience in Xamarin.Forms, Xamarin.iOS, Xamarin.Android development
  • Experience with MVVM frameworks
  • Programming Skills in C#, SQL Server, SQLite, HTML5, CSS, SCSS, JavaScript, JQuery
  • Experience with REST web services, JSON a plus but not required
  • Experience working with QA and testing tools for mobile applications
  • Experience with source control management tool, such as TFS and GIT a plus
  • Problem solving capabilities are required
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Experience with all phases of the development life cycle
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development process and continuous integration
  • Familiarity Windows and MacOS X operating systems

Communication:

  • Strong verbal communication with the ability to discuss technical issues with various technical support staffs as well as the ability to affectively converse with the end user.
