T Microservices Engineer Description Working in developing highly scalable systems using Akka and Scala for Verizon Risk and Fraud prevention stack. Choice of language can be Scala or Java based on use cases. The system will be deployed and maintained in AWS cluster and on-Prem hardware. The person will be responsible for framework development and writing microservices for handling thousands of transactions per second in real time and working. The person will also be responsible for successful deployment of the developed solution. The person must be aware of test driven development to work as a core member of the small Agile team. Must Have Skills: 3-4 years of JAVA experience 1-2 years of SCALA experience 3-4 years of strong experience working with front-end technologies - HTML/Javascript/CSS 1-2 years experience working with FE frameworks VueJS (preferred), ReactJS or Angular Experience with Microservices Functional programing experience Experience with noSQL DBs Experience with ELK / Splunk Experience with streaming technologies Knowledge of Kafka Desired Skills: Highly scalable system architectures CI/CD process in particular - GIT (Bitbucket), Jenkins, Jira, Confluence Knowledge of Akka Knowledge of Spark or similar distributed computing tools JAVA/Scala Certifications AWS Developer certification JOB DUTIES: IAM front-end microservices development enhancing IAM Administrative portal and other IAM customer facing user experiences IAM business object development IAM RESTful API development EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS: BS in computer science or a related field LOGISTICS: On call, nights and weekend support required based on production code deployment windows
