Apex Systems is searching for qualified candidates for a new and exciting Java Architect opportunity with one of our top clients in Richmond, VA. This is a 6 month contract to hire that will start work remotely but once COVID policies subside you will need to sit onsite in Richmond, VA.

This is a unique Java Architect role where you will own and drive forward CI/CD pipeline maturation across our client's organization. You will also provide mentorship on tooling and methodologies to promote DevOps, agile development, and ensure compliance to architectural standards, design patterns, policies, and best practices.

Role: Java Architect

Java Architect Requirements:

• 8+ years of professional experience.
• Excellent communication skills to work with team members and cross functional teams throughout organization.
• Hands on Java Development, Application Architect and DevOps Engineering experience.
• Experience working hands on with Containerization tools (such as Open Shift, Kubernetes or Docker).
• Experience working with Jenkins.
• Ability to look at existing Architecture and optimize where needed.
• Experience preforming code reviews.
• Ability and willingness to do hands on Java Development when needed on a limited basis.
