Your role

Are you excited about playing a key role in keeping UBS competitive in the Big Data Space? Do you have a good working knowledge of big data technologies like Cloudera or MicroStrategy?

We're looking for a IT support analyst to:

• support big data applications that will eventually migrate to Azure
• ensure workflows, processes, tooling and applications meet the highest production quality standards
• contribute ITIL production expertise to the on-boarding of existing and new IT products and services
• define workarounds for known errors, initiate Problem Management and drive process improvements
• contribute to automating manual processes

Your team

You'll be working in the Technology Operations Center (TOC) which provides application support for the UBS Financial Reporting and Analytics (RAS) suite of applications. You will be part of a global team that provides follow-the-sun support across India, EMEA and the Americas.

An important role at the ground level building UBS specific big data skills within our team and providing hands-on support as part of the Application Support team. We play an important role in maintaining production stability, resolving incidents in a timely manner and working closely with development and business partners.

Your expertise

• bachelor's degree in STEM is preferred
• ideally 3 + years hands-on experience with UNIX, SQL and MS Office products
• microsoft Azure knowledge and experience with Cloudera and / or MicroStrategy is beneficial
• familiarity with monitoring solutions, preferably Netcool, AppDynamics or Splunk is helpful
• use of or knowledge of automation tools like Automation Anywhere or IPcenter a plus
• ability to solve issues, good at problem analysis and solution design thinking
• track record of building good relationships with IT stakeholders and business partners
• ITIL Certified or familiarity of the methodologies is helpful
