Job Description
Fundamental Components:
As an agile practitioner within the Digital Design Operations team, you will be a servant leader supporting a growing team of user experience professionals. The Digital Design Scrum Master/Design Producer is critical in ensuring that the design teams are able to plan and execute their day-to-day work, filling a hybrid role on the agile design team that blends the traditional responsibilities of a scrum master and design producer to satisfy the needs of the creative team members.

A strong amount of agile and digital design knowledge is necessary, but the right candidate will approach this role with a healthy dose of flexibility.

RESPONSIBILITIES

•Alone or in conjunction with the Design Program Manager (DPM) organize and facilitate team ceremonies such as: grooming, planning, daily stand-up, reviews, retrospectives.

•Facilitate the creation of design's plan including participating in intake, running grooming meetings, facilitating story mapping/writing. You will be key in helping design to define how they will do their work by sharing in the authoring of user stories.

•Each design team interfaces and collaborates with one or many development scrum teams (who have their own Scrum Master), so experience and comfort working in a cross-team manner is preferred.

•This role requires a broad blend of experience and passionate interest in creative development, technology, process & workflow management, project management methodologies and agile coaching.

•Identify and remove or escalate impediments and distractions that interfere with the team's ability to implement their sprint goals.

•Coordinate closely with the Design Program Manager to track risks, dependencies, status, and other milestones related to design work. With the DPM, keep the team's backlog prioritized at the feature and story level based on the input and need of our product partners.

•Work closely with other team partners such as product management, engineering, design leadership, and operations.

•Practice servant leadership, participating in retrospective or inspect and adapt sessions, solving problems, removing blockers, and otherwise protecting the designers' time and space to do their work well while collaborating with product, engineering, architecture and other teams.

•Track and communicate other agile metrics such as velocity and sprint progress.

•Constant collaboration, partnership, improvement, and iteration on processes and practices is a must.
