Database Developer

I. JOB SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Director of Release Management, the Database Developer is responsible for overall database development, DBA support and managing day to day activities for targeted areas within an Agile environment.

II. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for reviewing new and existing SQL code for performance and adherence to established standards.
• Write efficient, scalable SQL code in support of department and organizational initiatives
• Assist in establishing and maintaining database development standards.
• Assist database administrators with routine tasks including, but not limited to: monitoring and maintaining SQL health, backing up and restoring databases, and migrating data
• Participate in code and design reviews

· Maintain a professional image and adheres to standards consistent with company policies and procedures.

· Testing the scripts to debug the performance at various levels of SDLC

III. JOB REQUIREMENTS:

· 3+ years in a Database Developer Role.

• 1+ years in an MS SQL Server DBA role or commensurate experience.
• Experience in any of the following SQL Server technologies is a plus: Reporting Services, Integration Services & Analysis Services.

· Demonstrates solid working knowledge of indexes.

· Proficient in SQL development.

• Ability to prioritize and manage a complex and changing workload.
• Strong communication skills with an excellent track record of working with matrixed teams.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to perform in a fast paced, high-pressure environment
