We currently have a contract opportunity for a Data Modeler / SQL Developer - Contractor to lend specific subject matter knowledge around data analytics and model building to support internal business

  • Creation and maintenance of conceptual, logical and physical database models
  • Experience/understanding of business process reengineering and business modeling concepts, business systems development and analysis
  • Documentation of functional requirements and system specifications in Azure Dev Ops
  • Maintaining highly effective and consistent communication within the team, peers, and the leadership team
  • Experience applying SAFe/Scrum/Kanban methodologies
  • Self-starter requiring minimal supervision and possesses excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical skills with excellent communication abilities (written and verbal)
  • Accounting and/or Tax knowledge
  • Seamlessly able to translate business requirements to technology requirement
  • Self-starter requiring minimal supervision and possesses excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
< class="job-posting-heading">Qualifications
  • 5+ years T-SQL coding experience on large projects working with newer versions of SQL Server (2014 and newer)
  • 5+ years demonstratable work as a SQL developer
  • 3+ years demonstratable work experience as a Data Modeler using data modeling tools such as Erwin, Toad or ER/Studio
  • Must possess expert programming, performance tuning and troubleshooting skills
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and Azure SQL
  • Strong working experience designing ETL solutions (Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Flow, Azure Databricks, & SSIS)
  • In-depth understanding of database structure principles and best practices
