Job Description:

Ascension is looking for 2 big data developers to join their Google Cloud Platform development team in Austin, TX. Onsite experience with Google Cloud Platform is lacking, so these developers will need to provide technical knowledge of Google Cloud Platform.

Ascension began a migration into G suite and all Google products in 2019. The data team is migrating from Cloudera, Oracle, and SQL into Google Cloud Platform.


Developer will use Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform), to design, develop and implement, scalable, high performance solutions that offer measurable business value to customers.
Proficient in multiple programming languages, frameworks, domains, and tools.
Coding skills in Python, Java and Spark is required.
Experience with technologies Spark, and Hive
Expertise with development eco-system such as Jenkins and CI/CD.
Experience with Google Cloud Platform platform development tools Pub/sub, cloud storage, big table, big query, data flow, data proc, and composer.
Knowledge in Hadoop and cloud platforms and surrounding ecosystems.
Embraces a DevOps culture.
Experience working in agile teams.
Experience with web services and APIs as in RESTful and SOAP.
