Our industry-leading financial services client is seeking a motivated Backend Developer to join their dedicated team in a direct hire role.

This is a full-time, permanent opportunity, offering a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package. Qualified applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis.

Responsibilities of the Backend Developer:

• Respond to incidents, problems, and service requests
• Analyze business application requirements; design, test, and debug software applications
• Support system changes, enhancements, and operational improvements
• Document application specifications and train end users

Requirements of the Backend Developer:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least 3 years of experience
• At least 3 years of experience with version control tools: Git, TFS
• At least 2 years of financial services industry experience
• Excellent Java, SQL, and JavaScript development skills
• Experience with Java frameworks: Spring, Hibernate, log4j, JUnit, Mockito
• Knowledge of reporting and analytics using MS SSRS
• Strong understanding of object-oriented development, application architecture, and the SDLC
• Experience with automated test, build, and integration techniques
• Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills
