Are you a Devops (PaaS) architect or senior engineer looking to grow in your career? One of our Microsoft partners out of Dallas, TX is currently interviewing and ready to on board an individual who has strong containers experience in Kubernetes, docker and application development/microservices.

The engagement envisioned requires the person to:

- Build and Manage a series of modern / cutting edge applications for client

- Demonstrate excellence and capabilities on modern technologies

This individual will own and lead all aspects of design, architecture of the modern app development

- Lead team members to design and architect cloud native solutions

- Demonstrate depth and expertise in articulating software solutions using cloud technologies, but more specifically around

> Containerized Deployment Architecture and Microservices

> Docker & Kubernetes

• Internal Network Topology (i.e. with Calico or alternatives)

• API Managment (Kong or alternative)

• Cluster Management & Monitoring

• Security

> Devops

• CI/CD pipelines with tools like Terraform

• Kubernetes Deployment & Configuration with Helm Charts

> Cloud Platform: Azure is preferred, but any other cloud platform experience is acceptable

This role is NOT:

- a manager of technical resources

- someone who can afford to learn the relevant technology over a period of time. We are actually looking at this individual to be the leader and guide for others on day 1. We cannot afford to hire someone who is not up to date with these technologies as we run the risk of losing momentum and credibility

Experience

Client facing modern application architect / consultant with at least of 14-15 years total application development experience

Extensive hands on experience in design, architecture and delivery of Modern cloud native Applications using modern cloud services (ex: cloud PaaS Services, Microservices, Kubernetes, Docker, Serverless )

At least 2-3 years of experience in containerization (Docker) and container orchestration framework(Kubernetes)

Working knowledge of DevSecOps (ex: Jenkins, Azure DevOps ). CI/CD pipeline design and implementation using automation scripts (ex: Terraform, Helm)

Good understating of Cloud Platform as a service model and implementation experience (ex: service bus, serverless, complex event processing)

Good understanding and preferably hands on experience of implementing Microservices architecture
