The Bank of America Infrastructure Operations team is seeking a highly technical Windows System Administrator who will be responsible for the Security, Stability and Performance of the plant.

The individual will deliver operating excellence within the Windows Operations team through cultural, organizational and technology evolution in support of the Event Management and Service Request Management functions. The individual will maintain strong operating controls and strict adherence to security and risk management routines through collaboration and partnership with peer and supporting teams. The individual will build on and develop the team's skillsets in close partnership with Engineering teams to define and deliver Operational requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Responding to BHW monitoring or critical application alerts by investigating problem and developing long term solutions
  • Performance Management
  • Analyzing existing process/application and suggesting improvements to eliminate performance bottle necks with available server resource
  • Utilizing advanced level troubleshooting and triage with RCA and recommending corrective actions for escalations
  • Performing remote administration for Windows Server 2012 and 2016, Clustering, Virtualization and building VMs instances
  • Providing specialized technical and product support to data center personnel diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing and debugging application issues out of memory, Thread Hung, Connection timeout issues as well as tuning the heaps
  • Building servers, installing software, supporting application releases
  • Working through DMZ, should be able to manage Windows and VMware environment individually



Required Skills:

  • A minimum of 4 years of system administration experience
  • Strong knowledge on Windows server Administration
  • Basic knowledge on VMware Administration
  • Baseline Compliance remediation using patching and upgrade tools
  • Excellent inter-personal and communication skills and Ability to work on multiple initiatives and projects
  • Strong understanding of Operational Controls and Risk governance aligned to ITIL framework.
  • Exposure to load balancing tools & concepts, experience of networking, storage, clustering
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral)
  • Knowledge of ITIL process for incident, change, Problem Management
  • Strong Windows,VMWare background
  • Knowledge on different types of file system
  • Experience in DNS, DHCP, AD, Domain Controller
  • Experience in configuring MS Windows Cluster and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge in troubleshooting hardware break fix like RAM, processors, hard drive failures, updating the firmware, configuring ILO/RILO for HP servers
  • Experience in managing and maintaining Virtual Machines in Virtual Centers, adjusting the resources, vMotion, VMware Administration, installing VMware tools
  • Ability to coordinate with application team during releases and implement the tasks
  • Ability to cover various work schedules, for example, after-hours or weekend support on 16*7 rotational shift timings
  • Experience assisting with tracking and managing vendor support tickets, and be able work with a team to triage and resolve urgent application issues
