Web Application Developer, Senior
The Challenge:

Are you looking for an opportunity to not just develop software, but to build a system that will help drive modernization initiatives to support national security? As a Software Engineer, you can help build and enhance complex and diverse software systems based upon documented requirements. We're looking for a developer to build systems that might include processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, business management information systems, and systems which incorporate data repositories, data transport services, and application and systems development monitoring.

This role is more than just coding. We need a DevOps Engineer who will monitor, sustain, and troubleshooting operational Machine Learning systems, Graph Analytics system software, distributed file systems, and storage components in a large High-Power Computing (HPC) Unix environment. You will also develop custom NiFi processors to perform Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) on Big Data. You will devise methods to improve existing operational data flow processing, distribution, and reliability.

You Have:

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering roles
• Experience with Web development, HTTP, Javascript, and NodeJS
• Experience with packaging NodeJS applications using npm and related tools
• Experience with developing RESTful services in a Unix environment
• Experience with using the Unix command line
• Experience with developing scripts using Bash
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
• BA or BS degree or 7+ years of experience in software engineering roles in lieu of a degree

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with developing RESTful services in Java
• Experience with packaging Java applications using Maven
• Experience with Git distributed version control system
• Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite, including JIRA and Confluence
• Knowledge of Web development using JavaServer Faces (JSF)
• Knowledge of Kubernetes container orchestration

Clearance:
