A leading higher education institution is looking to add a UX Designer to their team. This university is working to improve student lives and their families through higher education. The UX Designer role will be collaborating with a team in academics, IT, operations, and marketing to create simple solutions that students encounter. The ideal candidate will have experience in UX design, along with design tools skills, and a strong portfolio to showcase their previous work. Required Skills & Experience • Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Information Architecture, User Experience Design, Visual Design, Web Design or 3+ years of user experience designer, interaction designer, information architect, product designer or relevant experience o 1 year of relevant experience can replace 2 years of post-secondary education • Portfolio show casing user experience and visual design work • Portfolio showing examples of problem solving and applying user-centered design principles (concept sketches, user stories, interaction flows, prototypes, UI mockups, etc.) • Experience with UXPin, Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar • Visual design skills • Experience collaborating with a team • Able to work with developers for implementation of design • Communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills What You Will Be Doing • Collaborate with colleagues in other areas to understand user problems, develop wireframes, design high-fidelity mockups and interaction specification to lead to solutions.
