The Team Lead/Senior Analyst role will be located in Beltsville, MD.

Position Description:

• Team Lead - Technical Analysis and Special Operations (TASO) performs advanced cyber threat network hunting, advanced technical analyses (e.g. analysis of malicious code, network traffic, and Web log data), and forensic review of hard drives, mobile devices and other storage media.
• Perform advanced network threat hunting to detect malicious or suspicious behavior.
• Respond to security events received from CIRT, provide comprehensive findings and recommended remediation steps. Activities include the following: Advanced code analysis (e.g. reverse engineering of malicious code); Advanced traffic analysis (at the packet level) and reconstruction of network traffic to discover anomalies, trends, and patterns; Perform forensic analysis of suspected systems (e.g. mobile devices, on and off premise network devices, and storage media) impacted by malicious activity.
• Create, troubleshoot, configure and operate complex scripting solutions with the ability to output the results in a variety of formats (e.g. HTML, XML, etc.) and to repurpose the results for reports targeting different technical levels (e.g. other analysts, management, etc.).
• Implement and use cyber security frameworks (e.g. MITRE-ATARC, Kill Chain, etc.).
• Provide advanced forensic analysis of mobile devices (e.g. GFE) with abnormalities, assist in conducting testing of mobile devices and policies.
• Travel to domestic and overseas missions to support Cyber Security Assessments (CSA).

Basic Qualifications- To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:

• Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 9 years' experience required. An additional 6 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
• Active Top Secret security clearance is required, with eligibility to obtain TS/SCI.
• Has expertise to determine systems specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility and maintenance of system security.
• Identifies, analyzes, and able to resolve program support deficiencies.
• Proven ability to develop and recommend corrective actions.

Preferred Qualifications - Candidates with these preferred skills will be given preferential consideration:

Possess CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or similar certification
