In this position, you will provide systems engineering leadership and support our NASA customers for an avionics and flight software project. This project is in support of the NASA Gateway/Lunar/Mars Artemis exploration program. As a systems engineer, you will collaborate with a team of engineers to create life cycle artifacts such as concepts of operations, requirements, verification plans, ICDs, design reviews, safety reviews, schedules, management plans, etc. This position will be responsible for writing, integrating, revising, and maintaining formal program documentation related to the Gateway Inter-element Network. You will also be in charge of identifying risks to the project. This position requires experience and capability in leading a cohesive team and presenting topics to management. As such, it is critical that candidates possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Also, because the network development team is highly interdisciplinary, candidates should have good interpersonal skills that help maintain a good team environment.
