ROLE OVERVIEW
Reporting to the IS&T Marine group, the Sr. Systems Analyst is responsible for the technical management and evolution of the Infor platform used throughout the Marine group. The position requires extensive functional and technical expertise on the Infor platform, excellent communication skills and business acumen. The incumbent will work closely with clients, architects, the development team and managers. This position is remote but does require some travel on-site to Lansing, MI and Sturtevant, WI.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Main Infor contact for technical aspects, you will act as a facilitator for projects related to the platform
  • Help the organization understand how to optimize the use of Infor by leveraging the business processes it enables
  • Accompanied by solution and integration architects, define the technological roadmap, define standards for architecture, development, integrations, etc
  • Contribute to business case development and project estimations.
  • Collaborate with operations in response to queries or incidents.
  • Support the Solution Manager in relationships with major vendors and service providers to ensure they cost-effectively meet the needs of the organization.
  • Define the development cycle with our partners
  • Ensure that the platform complies with cybersecurity standards
  • Advise and influence the Product Owner
  • Support the Product Owner in maintaining the backlog and transform requests into a technical requirement. Also responsible for keeping the backlog updated with identified technical enhancements and ensure requests are estimated
  • Organize the work of IS&T stakeholders involved in improvement initiatives according to priorities
  • Ensure each release balances new features, improvements and technical enhancements.
  • Set the pace of deliveries with external partners, monitor the release quality, the standards and the documentation.
  • Coordinate tests, deployments and transfers to operations
  • Monitor the main performance indicators of the platform or applications
  • Share successes and losses with your team

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in commerce, management, engineering, computer science or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 10 years of IS&T application delivery and support experience with expertise in one or more of the following functional areas: design, engineering, supply chain, marketing, sales, distribution networks, after market, production, procurement, logistics, finance, HR.
  • Demonstrates breadth and in-depth knowledge of how IT solutions can add value. Ability to pair business needs with fit for purpose IT solutions.
  • In-depth functional and technical experience with the Infor SyteLine (CSI/CPQ) solution. Experience with PTC Windchill, SAP ECC, S4/Hana, Salesforce.com and ADP is an asset.
  • Proven ability to work and collaborate in a complex environment and effectively influence a diverse team of stakeholders and business leaders.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and information processing skills.
  • Go getter attitude with the ability to influence, persuade and initiate change.
  • Enthusiastic team player with extensive background in a collaborative, team-run environments
  • Forward-thinking and business savvy individual looking for breakthrough actions that add value
  • Ability to lead, set priorities and to perform tasks in a fast-paced environment.
