SQL Server .NET Developer

Our client is looking for an experienced developer/coder with SQL Server and VB.NET. This position is located in their Westchester corporate office. You will enhance the business processes and have opportunities to develop custom programs and reports using the latest Microsoft development tools and technologies. This position is a corporate role with responsibilities extending beyond the local facilities and may require some international travel.

We are looking for someone who:

• will test/debug their own code, as well as other colleagues
• develop implementation and test plans
• document existing and go-to business processes

Skills and Experience

Education

• Minimum: BS in Computer Science and 8 years’ experience
• Preferred: Graduate degree in Computer Science or related technical field and 5 years’ experience
• Professional Certification in one or more of the core technologies is a plus!

Skills

• Strong SQL Server 2016 coding: stored procedures, triggers, CLR
• Working knowledge of VB 6 and VB.NET and C# syntax
• Working knowledge in Crystal Reports and/or SQL Server Reporting Services

Experience

• Knowledge of Internet based communication protocols including IP addressing, VPN, MPLS, SSL, etc. with associated hardware (routers, firewalls, switches).
• Knowledge of ERP business system software and SQL databases
• INFOR Syteline ERP Experience is a plus
• Prior experience in SQL, VB, VBA, VB.net, XML/HTML software coding
• Working knowledge of Progress database queries.
• Knowledge in Windows based hardware/software for servers and client stations. Ability to analyze, trouble shoot and resolve problems.
• Knowledge of Wide Area Network (WAN) and Local Area Network (LAN) concepts and practical experience of establishing and maintaining said networks in a healthy efficient state.
