NTT Data is assisting our Healthcare Client in their recruiting efforts for this role. This is a Contract position, expected duration 3-6 months

Job description:

Maintain and enhance current database environment (SQL Server) by performing backups, tuning and capacity planning
Prior experience on SQL Server 2016, Data tools, SVN desired
Involve in improving the performance of Views on Enterprise Data Warehouse
Coordination and participation in deployments from a Data Management team standpoint, as and when required
Some Off-hours and weekend work may be required to support the database environments and planned deployments
Experience in working on Enterprise Datawarehouse, best practices for performance and maintenance would be an added advantage
Automate scripts using Microsoft PowerShell for Database Maintenance
Experience in Database Migration from 2012 to 2016 or beyond
Experience in SQL Server patching and testing out the patches before applying in production
Experience in Virtualization, knowledge of various Storage setups would be good
Experience on Visual Studio patching and upgrade would be a plus
Ability to communicate to multiple teams who can be technical or non-technical
Ability to understand the application and think from an infrastructure point of view and developer's point of view would be great
Experience in analyzing performance bottlenecks in terms of CPU, memory or I/O

Skills/Experience:
8 + years of experience performing database administration on Microsoft SQL Server
Prior experience working with enterprise data warehouses would be extremely beneficial.
Prior experience with data architecture and AWS is a big plus
Exposure to SSIS desired
Exposure to Enterprise Security implementations in a health care setting is a plus
Team Player and ability to understand criticality of requests, prioritize as need be
Attention to detail would be a great soft-skill to have for this role
Exposure to ITIL best practices is beneficial

Important Note: This role is on call there will be rotational shift work split between the small team of two.
