Job Summary

We're looking for a hands-on, expert SQL Developer to join our Data Engineering team. When you get out of bed in the morning, you look forward to building optimized solutions, you love working with data, and you enjoy working as a team.

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to make code decisions and optimize SQL code to build applications, cloud infrastructure and pipelines that will deliver data solutions to our Food, Beverage and Sports industry clients. You will help bring SQL best practices and ensure optimized SQL code in our Python and .NET codebase.

We're a .NET, Python and Snowflake, SQL Server, AWS focused team. This role will work closely with Data Engineers and Application Developers team to produce SQL optimized for either SQL server or Snowflake.
We are looking for someone who is very knowledgeable in relational databases, preferring SQL server/Snowflake.

A plus to have DBA skills administrating modern cloud based database stacks like Snowflake and AWS cloud hosted databases.

Core Responsibilities

• Collaborate with our development, reporting, analytics, and data science teams to understand data sources and business requirements
• Write and optimizing SQL queries, views, stored procedures, triggers and other database objects
• Good SQL experience for writing complex SQL transformation including working with Snowflake system tables
• Some database administration skills for maintaining secure, stable, high performing and highly tuned snowflake / AWS hosted SQL server environment
• Work within a collaborative team, adhering to Agile best practices, documentation, and knowledge sharing
• Managing personal work output via Jira/Confluence

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands on SQL Developer Experience
• Including 2+ years of SQL tuning Experience preferably in MS SQL Server / Snowflake
• Excellent written and verbal communicator

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Snowflake data platform is valued
• Experience with DBT (Database Built Tool) will be a big plus
