Job Description

The Solution Engineer would be responsible for a newly created services web platform focused on providing a central location for our rail customers assets and supply chain digital service needs. This successful candidate will develop deep service product knowledge, lead customer discovery engagements, gather business requirements and measures of success factors, to appropriately tweak sales tool kit to demonstrate live software where it could solve customer business challenges and bring quantifiable value.
What you’ll do:

  • Learn the technical details concerning how our software works and what problems it solves for our clients
  • Establish new accounts and services accounts by identifying potential customers and planning and organizing sales call schedule
  • Coordinate customer relations by soliciting and logging client feedback and evaluating the data we receive through digital channels
  • Identify areas where we can improve customer satisfaction and repeat business, communicate those issues and possible solutions to service and customer teams
  • Develop a Sales tool kit, with a focus on re-use for future demos
  • Contribute to service product opportunities with scalable customer requirements
  • Train sales team on service product features tied to customer benefits, introduce new techniques and strategies that will increase B2B revenue and position us as the leading digital rail services solution provider
  • Set and achieve sales and customer success goals on a monthly and quarterly basis

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's Degree Marketing, Business Administration or related field preferred or a combination of education equivalent
  • Prior experience with B2B / Digital services sales
  • 5+ years rail industry experience in solution sales and deployment highly preferred
  • Strong customer facing skills, ability to technically sell digital services platform to all levels of an enterprise organization
  • Strong organizational change skills
  • Outstanding communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to be technically on point
  • Creative problem solving skills
  • Ability to take discovery findings matched with business solutions
