To define and improve testing practices / processes, identify and mitigate risks & implement tooling and automation solutions across multiple teams. Look at the bigger picture and find the best solutions to improve the quality of our products while helping improve speed to market. Lead the role in the improvement of quality, speeding up development time, and shipping better products more consistently. Work directly with developers on innovative projects and outstanding products, while collaborating with product owners, developers and QA.

Role Responsibilities

  • Subject Matter Expert on apps supported by team, including integration points.
  • Develops comprehensive Test Strategy for a given set of application changes while collaborating with peer group and delivery teams.
  • Mentors and develops QA testing colleagues.
  • Proactively keeps updated of industry QA skills and technologies and shares information, ideas and best practice with other QA team members to improve skills across the organization.
  • Actively engages in developing QA role (Champion CoP - Best practices, DevOps, ATDD - Acceptance Test-Driven Development).
  • Manages end to end testing across teams for all impacted applications and components.
  • Assist in creating roadmaps.
  • Champions Model environment improvements
  • Leads discussions with Agile teams on a shared vision to implement End to End process and the continuous delivery pipeline.
  • Partners with developers to train them on efficient testing techniques (including exploratory testing)
  • Analyze incidents to identify the optimal point to prevent reoccurrences in the future
  • Analyze automation coverage to find the most valuable area to focus on
  • Lead on process creation and/or continuous improvement from Quality best practices point of view

  • Expert in the working knowledge of the QA review and testing process, designing test scenarios and test scripts, including understanding various testing techniques.

  • Has experience with test and defect management tools.

  • Knowledge of backend database including validating stored procs, jobs and triggers.
  • Advanced experience with SQL, including JOIN statements
  • Executes and performs analysis of performance scripts.
