SAIC is looking for the right candidate to join a Chantilly-based small team of 3 analysts as a Senior Data Scientist.This position works directly with Chief government stakeholders onpioneering solutions to a very challenging dataset and mission need. The right candidate is a keen problem solver, with high acumen with Python or other command line scripting language. The customer will provide training on the unique data modeling. Responsibilities include :

• Quantify data to provide unique insights; develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses
• Design, develop, and maintain data science solutions to build automation
• Support efforts to integrate additional identity data sets to conduct scaled facial recognition (FR) testing
• Assess external FR and Computer Vision (CV) capabilities, provide programmatic support, and engage stakeholders for FR/CV pilots and technical evaluations
• Monitor external landscape for potentially relevant FR and CV technologies
• Collaborate with other internal FR/CV capability stakeholders to find synergies and advance integrated solutions
• Translate intelligence needs to technical specification and document requirements

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Active/current TS/SCI with Polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and 5+years of experience in Data Engineering, analysis, and/or visualization
• Advanced skills with Python and other languages involving command line scripting
• Experience creating and applying computer vision approaches
• Strong communication skills - verbal and written - with all levels of stakeholders

Desired Qualifications:

• Comprehensive understanding of machine learning approaches and experience with training models
