Genesis10 is currently seeking a QA Automation Engineer with our client in the financial industry in their Seattle, WA location. This is a 12 month + contract to hire position.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for supporting team automation activities through Java development and scripting routines, enhancing and optimizing a custom Java based automation framework atop Selenium, documenting best practices, mentoring team members and developing automation and functional test plans
• Candidate will be expected to analyze and troubleshoot automation/script execution issues and assist team in ongoing automation support and delivery efforts

Requirements:

• Quick learner, self-starter, critical thinker and team player who requires minimal supervision to excel in a dynamic environment
• Deep understanding of the software development and QA life cycle processes (including test planning, test case design, automation, execution, defect tracking and reporting)
• 3+ years Java development and object oriented design experience building solutions for UI, services and databases automation
• 3+ years or like experience with Selenium writing, executing and debugging automation scripts
• 3+ years or like experience with SoapUI or SOATest creating test cases and managing larger test suites
• 2+ years or like experience with SQL and backend application testing of Oracle and Cassandra
• Prior experience implementing process improvements in support of testing or software development such as risk based testing
• Expertise in designing, writing, maintaining, executing and debugging Java automation tests running on top of Selenium
• Proficient with development tools: Confluence, Jira, BitBucket, Maven, Jenkins
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite: OneNote, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint and Excel
• Proficient with defect tracking tool Client ALM/Quality Center
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Solid understanding of Agile and Waterfall SDLC
• Able to work as a W2 employee of Genesis10 (no Corp-to-Corp)
