VIP is seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst II to join the our team. Remote opportunity but must be able to come on site at least once a week or as needed. Prefer candidates in the New England area.

We are looking for a QA Engineer for the Research Administration group, who is capable of handling all the manual testing required on a project and then develop automated scripts suing Selenium to develop a regression test bed. In addition, be capable of generating scripts for Load testing using JMeter. We are not looking for an Automation Engineer who is capable of doing it all or a Performance Engineer, but a solid QA Engineer who is OK with all the manual work, but looking for ways to improve their process with automation. This role will also focus a bit more in Load testing, so the Jmeter or NeoLoad experience is more critical for this role.

THESE ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT FUNCTIONS:

  • As a member of project teams, the QA Analyst II will design, develop, and execute test and release activities. Participating can entail providing collaboration with other QAs, and Release engineers on the project team.
  • Will collaborate with our team to develop common services and models that will enable us to rapidly scale and expand our community's needs.
  • Incidents, service requests, defects, enhancements, upgrades, patches, and service improvement initiatives are examples of support activities. Team members will be assisted in devoting time to learning and improving enterprise application development skills.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information systems, business, or a related field is required. Equivalent work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a QA Analyst or Release Engineer.
  • Understanding of various testing methodologies and technologies to be used throughout the product development process.
  • Understanding of test management tools such as ALM, Jira, IBM Rational, and others
  • Solid understanding of fundamental programming concepts, frameworks, languages, and technologies such as Java, C#, .NET, XML, JSON, Python, PowerShell, and others.
  • Knowledge of agile development methodologies.
  • Familiarity with project management concepts and frameworks such as waterfall, Prince 2, and Scrum.
  • Prior experience working on medium to high-complexity projects/issues that necessitate demonstrated knowledge across multiple technical areas and business segments.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills for establishing relationships and working optimally across all levels of the University to facilitate the information required for comprehensive testing.
  • Tight deadlines with little mentorship.
  • Encourages and supports a team environment that values, encourages, and supports differences.
