Solutions Developer--Full-Time Direct Hire!

Modis, Inc. is seeking a Solutions Developer within Python and JavaScript software development for a full-time direct role with a large leading global employer in the Akron, OH area. The Developer will be responsible for developing customization & integration solutions around the product suite to meet customer's requirements. Qualified candidates will have 3+ years in programming and developing of software solutions, including 2+ years in Python and JavaScript. This is a hybrid role.

Solutions Developer Job Responsibilities:

• Own the development cycle - from design of the overall solution, through development of all the related code (predominantly Python) - including development around our products, as well as integration of our products with 3rd party applications.
• Work with our Services team and customers to define and create solutions.
• Participate in and/or lead the development of deliverable content that meets the needs of the customers and contract.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of programming experience, with a strong knowledge of Python and JavaScript
• Experience in Cloud or Automation technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes
• Experience in developing customization & integration software solutions (use of APIs, connecting applications, etc.) is a plus
• Basic knowledge of Linux systems and administration
• Plusses include (not required): Experience with server side technologies (Nginx, Apache, Traefik, WSGI, Flask, Falcon); Experience with databases (Postgres, SQLite3, MongoDB); Experience with Git, Gitlab, GitHub, Jira; Experience with test automation using Pytest, tox, and mocks; Gitlab CI, automation, and packaging.
• Demonstrated ability to creatively solve technical problems, and work collaboratively within a team
• Excellent communication, critical thinking & analytical skills
• Experience working independently with minimal guidance
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with experience exercising mature judgment
